Given Mitchs’ unfortunate passing, I’d like to bring back this drawing I did earlier in the year. Rest In Peace, Mitch. Your music lives on.

‘Stitching Up The Seams’

Literally had ‘Such Small Hands’ by La Dispute on repeat for the whole time I was drawing this..
I think I saw you in my sleep, darling, I think I saw you in my dreams you were stitching up the seams on every broken promise that your body couldn’t keep, I think I saw you in my sleep.

Anonymous asked: Your drawings are unbelievably good. What do you use to draw? What's your process of making them?
Aw thanks so much, i wish you weren’t anonymous!
I list all my drawings as “pen on paper” (except for a couple that also have pencil involved). By that I mean that (in my early drawings) I used Artline pens, but found that they ran out super quickly and weren’t worth the money, and now I use Staedtler Triplus Fineliners and a Uni fine point pigment ink/oil base Super Ink Marker. My drawings are all done in one of those basic 120p white paper art books.
I’m not really sure of how to describe my process. Usually I just randomly get ideas in my head, some come from music I listen to, some comes from the weird ass dreams I have (a few really odd ones I’ve done/have coming up are based on those), and sometimes even people ask me to draw certain things (such as the superheroes I’ve done).
I generally don’t like to use pencil because I’ve really fallen in love with line drawing and just using pen, so unless if it’s an important piece (like the artwork I was asked to do for Luke from Dream On, Dreamer), or maybe just mapping out key parts of an artwork, then I try not to use pencil.
Um I guess another thing that could count as process is that I don’t work on one piece at a time, so I never just start one piece and work all the way through until it’s done, I’m usually working on 3 or so pieces at a time.
I hope I’ve answered your questions adequately :) Enjoy my art x
